Product Review – The Frog Bra

Yes, that says Frog Bra.  For the very best in women’s athletic wear, Title Nine is a must-browse whether you get their catalogs, cruise their website, or have the good fortune of living in a town where they’ve set up shop.  And amid the biking shorts, running socks, stylish skorts, perfect shirts, and yoga pants, nothing holds a candle to their selection of sports bras and best among them is the oddly named Frog Bra.

Title Nine bills this flagship of atheltic wear as “The Frog Bra… so you can leap without bouncing!”  Whether that line comes across as humorous or risque, it’s downright accurate.  At 32% lycra, this sports bra is one reliable addition to any athlete’s wardrobe.  But, with so many bras to pick from (http://www.titlenine.com/category/bounce.do) how does a person narrow the choice?  Well, I found the selection simple (bear in mind, this doesn’t reflect everyone’s priorities, but you go with what works).  A great many of Title Nine’s other bras are the kind that fasten in the back.  Since sports bras contain a lot of lycra and don’t give much, reaching behind oneself to fasten them requires a certain amount of strength and dexterity.  The Frog Bra is a pull-over style, no fasteners.  For anyone with a shoulder injury or weak hands, choosing the Frog Bra is a no-brainer.  But that’s not to say that convenience is its only charm.  This is one serious bra.

For less strenuous workouts, or for women looking for something they can wear to the gym and to the office (yes, such bras exist), this won’t do.  But if you’re after support - particularly if you’re from the must-wear-two-bras-to-go-jogging camp – the Frog Bra is an unparalled must-have: http://www.titlenine.com/product/310900.do?w=frog+bra

While in a perfect world (especially when purchasing clothes with hefty price tags) we could try on everything before purchasing, ordering online or through their catalog is aided by the wealth of reviews at www.titlenine.com – commentary from other shoppers is generally thorough and helpful.  While I’ve never had occassion to do so, I understand they have a decent return policy – so, I encourage readers to give Title Nine a try.  (If nothing else, keep an eye out for their shops while on the road – besides the novel experience of shopping in a store dedicated entirely to women’s athletic clothing, their staff are usually quite knowledgeable and helpful.  And, the in-store sales are pleasant, to boot.)
